Dosunmu, Eason replace Green, Duren in 2023 Rising Stars

Chicago Bulls second-year guard Ayo Dosunmu will replace injured Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green (left groin strain) on Team Deron, and Rockets rookie forward Tari Eason will replace Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren (right ankle sprain) on Team Joakim in the 2023 Rising Stars Games.

The annual showcase of premier young talent at NBA All-Star Weekend will be played tomorrow, Feb. 17, at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City. It will air live at 9 p.m. ET on TNT and ESPN Radio.

Dosunmu is averaging 9.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 28.3 minutes in 56 games this season. He has scored in double figures 25 times. Last season, he was named to the 2021-22 NBA All-Rookie Second Team and participated in the 2022 Rising Stars Game. Dosunmu was selected by the Bulls with the No. 38 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.

Eason is averaging 8.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 19.4 minutes in 57 games this season. He ranks second among rookies in steals per game (1.1) and ninth in the NBA in steal-to-turnover ratio (1.00). Eason was selected by the Rockets with the No. 17 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
