Dillon Brooks suspended one game for receiving 18th technical foul
Memphis Grizzlies wing Dillon Brooks has been suspended one game without pay for receiving his 18th technical foul of the 2022-23 season, it was announced today by NBA executive vice president and head of basketball operations Joe Dumars.
Under NBA rules, a player or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one game once he receives his 16th technical foul during a regular season. For every two additional technical fouls received during that regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended without pay for an additional game.
Brooks received his most recent technical foul with 7:26 remaining in the third quarter of the Grizzlies’ 112-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on March 20 at FedExForum. He received this latest tech for taunting the Mavericks' bench after a dunk:

Brooks will serve his suspension on March 22 when the Grizzlies host the Houston Rockets at FedExForum.
This is the second time the NBA has punished Brooks in the last week, as he was also fined $35,000 for "the unsportsmanlike act of shoving a camera person on the sideline after pursuing a loose ball," the NBA announced last Friday.
This season, Brooks is averaging 14.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 threes, while shooting 39.1% from the field, 32.4% from three-point range and 79.3% from the free-throw line.
The Grizzlies are currently 44-27, which is the second-best record in the Western Conference.
