Danilo Gallinari diagnosed with meniscus tear, no ligament damage
The news is about as good as possible for new Boston Celtics forward Danilo Gallinari as an MRI confirms that he has a meniscus tear in his left knee but did not suffer any ligament damage.

There is no word on how long he will be sidelined but a torn ACL would have likely cost him the upcoming season.
