Chris Paul tests positive for COVID-19, status for WCF unknown

Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul has tested positive for COVID-19 and entered the league's health and safety protocols, per John Gambadoro of ArizonaSports.com.

Gambadaro notes that Paul received the Pfizer vaccine in February, and that it remains to be seen if the All-NBA guard has any symptoms.

On ESPN's "Get Up," Jalen Rose confirmed that Paul has "been vaccinated," adding that he doesn’t "anticipate him missing more than one game" due to the positive COVID-19 test.

The Suns are listing Paul as out indefinitely. The 36-year-old has been a critical component of the Suns' first Western Conference Finals run since 2010. This postseason, Paul is averaging 15.7 points, 8.7 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.4 turnovers on 50.9/44.4/91.2 shooting splits.

Most recently, Paul scored 37 points to finish off a Phoenix sweep of the Denver Nuggets in the second round.
