Celtics engaged in contract talks with Dennis Schroder

The Celtics are engaged in conversations to add free agent point guard Dennis Schroder, according to league sources. Talks are still ongoing as Boston looks to address its need at point guard.

ANALYSIS: The Celtics are relatively thin at point guard as things stand, with Marcus Smart, Kris Dunn and prospects Romeo Langford and Payton Prtichard as the primary options. Schroder started all 61 games played with the Lakers last season, averaging 15.4 points and 5.8 assists per game. He previously suited up for the Atlanta Hawks and Oklahoma City Thunder.
