Cavaliers still hopeful to extend Collin Sexton to long-term deal

ANALYSIS: Sexton's future with the Cavs has been a bit unknown with the recent flourishing of fellow guard and teammate Darius Garland. Sexton and Cleveland could not reach an agreement on an extension this summer.

It is somewhat surprising to see they are still interested in signing him long-term in the midst of his worst scoring season since his rookie year. Sexton is averaging just 16 points per game on a 52% True Shooting percentage and 24% shooting from deep.
