Bucks, Serge Ibaka agree to find trade

The Milwaukee Bucks and center Serge Ibaka have mutually agreed to find the 14-year NBA veteran a new home via trade as he remains away from the team reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Ibaka has been away from the team for the last six games for personal reasons and it looks like he will stay away until a trade can be found.

The Bucks traded for the 33-year-old before last season's trade deadline and he averaged 7.0 points and 5.3 rebounds for Milwaukee during the regular season but he was not a part of their rotation in the post-season. This season, he has only appeared in 16 games and only putting up 4.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in less than 12 minutes per game.

The veteran big mane has dealt with back issues over the past few seasons which have greatly slowed him down from being the defensive presence around the rim that he once was.

Ian Begley of SNY.tv had previous mentioned that the New York Knicks could be interested in adding Ibaka if they're looking to add frontcourt depth, especially with Mitchell Robinson missing at least the next three weeks following thumb surgery.
