Breanna Stewart, A’ja Wilson named WNBA Players of the Week

The WNBA announced the latest recipients of the league's Player of the Week award: Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.

Stewart led the Liberty to a 2-0 record during the week, while averaging 31.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists. She was the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. The Liberty are the best team in the East, with a 24-6 record. 

Wilson led the Aces to a 3-0 record during the week, while averaging 29.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists. She was the Western Conference Player of the Week. The Aces are the best team in the West, with a WNBA-best 27-3 record.

Stewart and Wilson were recently named the WNBA's Players of the Month for July too.
