Becky Hammon, Mike D'Antoni, Dawn Staley among Blazers HC candidates

With the Portland Trail Blazers' head-coaching search underway, San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon, South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, Los Angeles Clippers assistant coach Chauncey Billups, Brooklyn Nets assistant coach Mike D'Antoni and Spurs vice president of basketball operations Brent Barry are among the initial candidates for the job, sources tell The Athletic.

ANALYSIS: Charania also added that Hammon will be interviewing for the vacany with the Orlando Magic. The Portland Trail Blazers moved on from Terry Stotts last week after falling to Denver in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Magic, meanwhile, parted ways with Steve Clifford after a 21-51 season.
