Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid named NBA's Players of the Month

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis and Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid have been named the NBA's Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played in March and April.

Davis led the Lakers to a 14-6 record, while averaging 26.2 points, 12.5 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game.

Embiid led the Sixers to a 15-7 record, while averaging 33.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game and strengthening his case for the NBA's Most Valuable Player award.

Other nominees for this award from the Western Conference were Devin Booker (PHX), Stephen Curry (GSW), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC), Brandon Ingram (NOP), Jaren Jackson Jr. (MEM) and Domantas Sabonis (SAC).

Other nominees for this award from the Eastern Conference were Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL), Mikal Bridges (BKN), Zach LaVine (CHI), Donovan Mitchell (CLE) and Jayson Tatum (BOS).
