"You Think Kobe Would've Said That's a Real Championship?": American Comedian Shames LeBron James' Lakers Years

For the first time in eight years, LeBron James isn't part of the Los Angeles Lakers. Earlier this summer, James shocked the world when he decided to move to the Philadelphia 76ers. While his exit from LA was expected, nobody anticipated that James would play for the City of Brotherly Love.

Throughout James' eight years with the Lakers, he successfully managed to win one NBA championship. Despite bringing home the gold to LA in 2020, many Lakers fans don't like the run he's had with the team. American comedian Cristian E. Gutierrez, better known as Concrete, recently expressed his thoughts on James' Lakers stint.

"I like any Lakers team that doesn't have LeBron in it," Concrete said in a podcast reposted by NBA Bassey on X. "I love LeBron. I think he's, obviously, one of the f**king GOATs. We're not going to deny that. We're going to give him that. Was he a Laker? I never felt he was a Laker, bro."

"They don't count the bubble. The Lakers don't count the f**king bubble," Concrete continued. "Who really counts the bubble? ... Do you think Kobe (Bryant) would've thought it was a championship? I don't think so... You think Kobe would've said that's a real championship?"

Whatever the case may be, unfortunately for the haters, 2020 will go down in the record books as the time LeBron led the Lakers to an NBA championship. While many don't believe winning in the bubble should count, the league itself acknowledges the title win.

Is LeBron James Set to Win Fifth Ring?

LeBron James is one of the most decorated superstars in NBA history. He's a four-time NBA champion, a four-time NBA Finals MVP, a four-time NBA MVP, a 22-time All-Star, and has 21 All-NBA Team selections.

Despite turning 42 years old in December, James is still trying to chase after that fifth NBA title. This time, it seems like he could pull it off with his new team, the Philadelphia 76ers.

So far, the 76ers are off to a good start. The team is second place in the Eastern Conference with a 3-1 record. The best part is that James no longer has to rely on himself to carry his team. Since joining Philly, he's formed a superteam with Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey. His new teammates have proven to be more than enough for the King to finally take a backseat on the floor.

Looking at LeBron's numbers so far, he's averaging 16.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 2.0 steals. His production in scoring may be much lower compared to his usual numbers, but it's refreshing to see how James' team doesn't need him to carry all the load on offense any longer.

Given the 76ers' strong start to the season, there's a huge possibility that Philly could contend for a title this season. For now, everything remains to be seen.
