Curry and the Golden State Warriors are expected to discuss a contract extension designed to keep him with the franchise for the rest of his career, ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported. Curry becomes extension-eligible on Saturday.

Slater wrote that both sides are expected to engage “with a mutual desire to keep Curry with the Warriors for the entirety of his career.”

Curry is entering the final year of his current deal, a one-year veteran extension worth about $62.6 million for the 2026-27 season. Once eligible, he can sign up to two additional years worth roughly $136.7 million, a contract that would carry him through his age-40 season.

General manager Mike Dunleavy said earlier this month that Curry finishing his career in the Bay Area “has always been sort of what we discussed.” And that the conversation was “tracking quite well.”
