Stephen A. Smith has finally addressed his past criticism of Kyrie Irving’s vaccine stance and offered an apology. Smith revisited the heated debates of 2021, when Irving refused the COVID‑19 vaccine and became one of the league’s most polarizing figures.

"​It turns out that no matter what the truth is behind (the COVID-19 vaccine), Kyrie Irving did nobody wrong," Smith said on The Stephen A. Smith Show. "We did him wrong. I did him wrong. And for that, I’m sincerely sorry."
