NBA Icon Calls Bam Adebayo “Salty” Over Snubbing LeBron James From Major NBA Honor

Whether you love or hate him, LeBron James is undeniably one of the greatest NBA players of all time. He's a four-time NBA champion, a four-time NBA Finals MVP, a four-time NBA MVP, and a 22-time All-Star. James has broken and set a plethora of records in the league, leaving a huge legacy behind him once everything has been said and done in his career.

However, it appears that Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo doesn't see LeBron in the same light. Adebayo recently named his top five NBA players of all time. That list didn't include the King. Former NBA star Joe Johnson couldn't help but call out Adebayo for snubbing James, mentioning how he could be upset with him for not signing with the Heat.

"Bam Adebayo leaves LeBron James off of his all-time top five list," Johnson noted on Night Cap Show. "Bam left Bron out, bro. Listen to his top five: he got Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, Kevin Durant, and Tim Duncan. What's up with this list, bro? ... Bam definitely must be salty because Bron didn't pick the Heat."

Instead of going back to South Beach, LeBron decided to take his talents to the City of Brotherly Love. James is set to make his season debut with the Philadelphia 76ers. This has put the whole league on notice, especially the Eastern Conference.

Looking at the Sixers' composition, they have four All-Stars who all still put up huge numbers. Aside from James, there's Jaylen Brown, Joel Embiid, and Tyrese Maxey. All four of these stars averaged 20+ points per game last season. With that said, it might be difficult to put a stop to the 76ers next season.

Bam Adebayo's Honest Thoughts on LeBron James Joining the 76ers

While Joe Johnson has created this narrative that Bam Adebayo could be "salty" towards LeBron James deciding to sign with the Philadelphia 76ers, it doesn't seem like that's the case. In a recent interview with Adebayo, he shared his thoughts on James teaming up with the Philadelphia squad.

"I’m cool with Bron," Adebayo said. "I consider Bron like a brother, honestly. We’ve been Olympic teammates, but even before that we’ve always had down-to-earth conversations. I’m happy for him. You want what’s best for somebody. That’s really how you go from there."

Adebayo's response to the 76ers signing clearly contradicts whatever impression Johnson had on the Heat star snubbing James from his all-time top five list. At the end of the day, determining one's all-time greats is completely subjective and depends on an individual's preference.

Despite James being one of the best to ever do it, not everyone will appreciate his greatness in the same manner as others do.
