"I'm in Your Head": Victor Wembanyama Roasts Mitchell Robinson After Flagrant Foul in Game 4

It appears that the rivalry between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks has heated up in Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals. Victor Wembanyama seems to have had the Knicks' number on Wednesday, especially after trolling Mitchell Robinson.

During the opening period of Wednesday's game, Wembanyama found himself knocked to the ground after Robinson elbowed him in the throat. As painful as the hit was, it appeared that Wembanyama was more amused by how he had agitated Robinson.

"I'm in your head, boy," Wembanyama said directly to Robinson while taunting him on the ground, clapping and tapping his finger against his head.

During the final 50 seconds of the first quarter, Wembanyama slashed the paint with Robinson playing defense. As Wemby attacked, he outplayed Robinson and hit a fadeaway floater. When the shot went in, the towering Frenchman immediately began taunting the Knicks' big man. The Spurs star's words clearly got under Robinson's skin, provoking him into elbowing Wembanyama.

Ultimately, Robinson was called for a Flagrant 1 foul, allowing Wembanyama to take two free throws. Fortunately for the Knicks, Robinson was allowed to stay in the game and hasn't committed a foul that would've gotten him ejected.

Knicks manifested Charles Barkley's physical mentality towards Victor Wembanyama in Game 4

The modern NBA is often viewed as much softer than previous eras, with physical play becoming far less common. However, the 2026 NBA Finals matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the New York Knicks has suggested otherwise.

In Game 3 of the finals, Victor Wembanyama shoved Jalen Brunson in the head, which could've seriously injured the Knicks star. Despite the no-foul call on the Spurs star, many believe that Wemby's actions were equivalent to a flagrant foul.

NBA legend Charles Barkley weighed in on the situation. Barkley said on The Dan Patrick Show that he appreciates how the players are actively getting physical with each other, given what's at stake.

However, because Wembanyama pushed Brunson, Barkley believes that the Knicks should push back.

"First of all, the Knicks should stop whining," Barkley said. "What the Knicks should do is knock the hell out of Victor Wembanyama at some point because the two things they did to Jalen Brunson, I didn't like it. I loved it. This is a competition.

"But you can't let (the Spurs) manhandle your best player. ... I was surprised the Knicks haven't retaliated. They gotta do that. ... If I'm the Knicks, early in the game, I knock the hell out of Victor."

That's exactly what the Knicks did to Wembanyama on Wednesday. Aside from the Spurs center's altercation with Mitchell Robinson, Knicks guard Jose Alvarado also had a receipt to give to Wemby.

In one of the plays in the first half, Alvarado attempted to box out Wembanyama. However, it wasn't in a clean fashion. Alvarado was backing Wembanyama down while grabbing the Spurs star's right hamstring. Eventually, he pulled Wemby's leg, knocking him to the floor.

Fortunately for the Spurs, despite the Knicks' physicality and hostility towards Wembanyama, he never found himself getting hurt to the point that he had to sit out the game.
