Anthony Davis dominates Raptors to help Lakers climb back to .500

Anthony Davis gave everything he could on Tuesday night to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 132-131 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

Davis was unstoppable, racking up 41 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists in 39 minutes. He was hyper-efficient, shooting 13-of-17 from the field, 2-of-2 from three-point range and 13-of-14 from the free-throw line in another dominant performance.

The Raptors crept back in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, even taking a 121-120 lead on a Gary Trent Jr. three. However, this set up AD’s strong finish, as he scored 8 of the Lakers' final 10 points. That stretch included a driving layup and 6-of-6 shooting from the charity stripe along with a big block on Scottie Barnes.

LeBron James excelled in his point-forward role, dishing out 12 assists in addition to scoring 22 points.

The Lakers have been struggling for some time following their In-Season Tournament championship. Davis and James had help in this game, as five other players scored in double digits. They made 16 threes overall as a team, shooting 44% from deep.

This win gets Los Angeles back up to .500 at 19-19, and they improved to 13-6 at home. They currently have the 10th-best record in the Western Conference.

Despite having seven players in double figures (with four scoring 20 or more), the Raptors lost and dropped to No.11 in the East with a 15-22 record. They are now 3-2 since acquiring Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett from the New York Knicks.
