Tyrese Haliburton, Damian Lillard to headline NBA Three-Point Contest

Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers and Damian Lillard of the Milwaukee Bucks will be among the league's best shooters competing in the 2024 Three-Point Contest at NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis.

Haliburton, who’s also an All-Star starter, will try to win in front of his home crowd in his first stint at the three-point competition. One of the league’s premier shooters, Haliburton is shooting nearly 40% (39.8%) from three-point range this season.

Lillard, the reigning champion, aims to defend his title this year despite a down-shooting season. Coming over to the Bucks in the offseason, Lillard is only shooting 34.7% from three on 8 attempts per game.

Joining Haliburton and Lillard are the following: Cleveland Cavaliers’ Donovan Mitchell, New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson, Lillard’s Bucks teammate Malik Beasley, Utah Jazz’s Lauri Markkanen and Philadelphia 76ers' Tyrese Maxey. A final participant is expected to be named in the coming days.

There will also be a separate three-point showdown between Stephen Curry and Sabrina Ionescu in the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA Three-Point Challenge.
