Grizzlies' Desmond Bane out at least 6 weeks due to ankle sprain

The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that wing Desmond Bane has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, which he sustained during the third quarter of the Grizzlies' Jan. 12 game against the Los Angeles Clippers. He will be re-evaluated in six weeks.

The team also announced that forward Jake LaRavia has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 high left ankle sprain, which he sustained during the first quarter of the Grizzlies' Jan. 13 game against the New York Knicks. He will be re-evaluated again in three weeks.

Memphis recently announced that Ja Morant will be out for the remainder of the season due to torn labrum in his shoulder. The Grizzlies are currently 14-25, which is the third-worst record in the Western Conference.
